Boys

 

200 Metres Final

The favorite Ramone McKenzie JAM 20.67 won in front of Ramil Guliyev AZE 20.72 and the third place belongs to Nickel Ashmeade JAM 20.76. The first three of the world rankings finished on medal places.

 

1500 Metres Final

Kenyans won the duel with Ethiopian runners.  Frederick Musyoki Ndunge 3:44.27 took the gold and Josphat Mitunga Kithii 3:44.68 is silver. The bronze belongs to Ethiopian Dawit Wolde 3:45.03.

 

400 Metres Hurdles Final

All the favorites succeeded. After the silver medalist from 110 m hurdles William Wynne USA run the World Youth Best 49.01 for gold. The second place belongs to Reginald Wyatt USA 50.33 who beat Amaurys R. Valle CUB by 0.04 s.

 

Pole Vault Final

The favorite Nico Weiler from Germany started to jump on the height when all the other competitors already finished the competition and finished with the championships record 5.26. There are two silver medalists Shota Doi JPN and Manuel Concepción ESP with 4.85

 

Medley Relay Final

Although Jamaicans were the favorites for relays gold goes USA who ran 1:51.34. Is was a compensation for Danzell Fortson who was disappointed  by fourth place in 400 m. Silver goes to Japan 1:51.42 and bronze goes to Jamaica1:52.18.

 

Girls

 

200 Metres Final

Surprising winner from Brazil is Bárbara Leoncio BRA 23.50. The biggest favorite from Chalonda Goodman 23.54 lost the gold in the couple of last meters. The bronze medal belongs to Nivea Smith BAH 23.69. One of the biggest favorites Ashton Purvis USA (SB 23.50) took just fifth place.

 

800 Metres Final

The collision in the home straight put the fastest girl of the world Chanelle Price USA to the sixth place. Elena Lavric ROM 2:04.29 took the gold; the second place belongs to Alison Leonard GBR 2:05.36. The bronze medal of Juana Ivis Méndez CUB thanks to PB 2:05.42 is a little bit of surprise.

 

Long Jump Final

Darya Klisshina RUS took the gold by the last attempt 6.47 which means the championships record. Silver goes to Ivana Španović SRB – 641 means SB for her although she jumped 6.53 indoor. Bronze medal goes to Mariya Shumilova RUS 6.29

 

 

 

Javelin Throw Final

The biggest favorite Tazmin Brits RSA 51.71 took the gold but it was unexpectadly ballanced contest. South African beat the Finnish Carita Hinkka FIN just by 10 cm - 51.61. The bronze goes surprisingly to Finnland. Sini Kiiski threw PB to 50.75. Brazilian Junior Record holder Jucilene de Lima finished disappointed at the tenth place. 

 

Medley Relay Final

Erica Alexander who was disqualified at 1000 m and didn’t compete at 2000 m is the biggest her of golden USA relay. The American sprinters run the world season best 2:05.74. Silver goes to Jamaica as the biggest favorite 2:06.77 and bronze goes to Canada 2:09.08
